HumanN is hiring, and we are looking for a Senior Shopper Marketing Manager to join the growing team! This position plays a critical role on theBrand Management team, driving awareness, engagement, and sales growth across key retail partners.

This role will lead theretail/shopper marketing strategy, planning, and executionto deliver impactful brand communications, accelerate consumer recruitment, and drive sales velocity.

This position requires expertise inintegrated shopper marketingand a strategic mindset to develop high-impact programs that deliver measurable results. The role collaborates closely withRetail Sales, Brokers, Creative, Digital, Legal, and other cross-functional teams, reporting to theSenior Brand Manager while partnering with theVP of Retail Sales.

Key Responsibilities

Shopper Marketing Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute integrated shopper marketing plans that drive brand awareness, consumer recruitment, and sales growth at key strategic retailers.
  • Create and manage annual shopper marketing activation plans in collaboration with Retail Sales, Brokers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the development of retailer-specific marketing initiatives, including in-store promotions, digital activations, sampling programs, and merchandising.
  • Own the development of AMPS (Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing, Shelving) playbooks to identify sales opportunities and gaps.
  • Develop and implement new product launch strategies for retail partners, ensuring strong go-to-market execution.


Retail Activation & Merchandising
  • Manage execution of retail marketing programs, including demos, shippers, in-store signage, and digital activations (e.g., Ibotta, Instacart).
  • Define and measure key KPIs to assess program effectiveness and refine future strategies.
  • Develop test-and-learn frameworks for optimizing promotions, pricing, and merchandising tactics.
  • Foster relationships with packaging and merchandising partners to develop in-store display solutions.


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Insights
  • Partner with the Retail Sales team to develop data-driven marketing strategies that drive retail performance.
  • Monitor and analyze program performance, sharing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement


Budget & Performance Management
  • Manage shopper marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation and maximum ROI.
  • Track and analyze trade spend, making strategic recommendations for incremental investments.
  • Develop robust ROI models to measure the effectiveness of trade spend and shopper marketing investments.
  • Leverage IRI/Nielsen data to measure performance and optimize future initiatives.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer/shopper marketing, with a focus on CPG, retail, or health & wellness industries.
  • Deep expertise in retail-driving marketing activations (e.g., Ibotta, Instacart, sampling, digital/social programs).
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, category trends, and retail market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into strategic, results-driven marketing plans.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and trade spend analysis.
  • Proficiency in IRI/Nielsen data and sales metrics.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon Seller Central) and retail environments is a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
