Responsibilities
Work closely with Medical Director and the Behavioral Health Administrator to ensure operational goals are implemented and met.
Provide clinical and administrative coverage in the absence of the Behavioral Health Administrator.
Supervise Social Workers, Counselor and Behavioral Health Coordinator.
Provide coverage, as needed, for assessment and referrals and follow-up as well as collaborate with health care teams to ensure members reach best possible health outcomes.
Assist in reviewing requests for ABA Therapy.
Develop and implement new workshops.
Manage prior authorization programs, including In-patient, IOP, PHP, TMS reviews.
Collaborate with internal Fund departments, such as Claims, Member Services, Outreach, Care Management, Provider Relations, Union representatives, EAPs, vendor programs (Teladoc, Sales Force etc..) to support the daily operations and to ensure best possible clinical outcomes for members.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work or equivalent years of experience required; New York State License (LCSW) required
Minimum of six (6) years' experience working in a Member Assistance Program, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), or similar clinical settings. This experience should include at least three (3) years' experience in a supervisory role within a clinical setting.
Knowledge of ABA therapy and authorization process, preferred
Knowledge of the prior- authorization process for IOP/PHP, TMS, preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, required
Knowledge of 1199 Benefit and Pension Fund Departments, preferred
Flexibility and ability to work well in a fast- paced environment, multi-task, meet deadlines and follow through on assignments
Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required as well as an ability to foster good working relationships with staff, management, union, employers and other professionals.
Excellent time management and project management skills
