Responsibilities:
Our team is looking for a seasoned Front End Engineer who will help shape extensible UX platform to empower engineers across Microsoft by simplifying authoring capabilities and surfacing new AI powered experienc es. The candidate will influence architectural and design decisions . They will be responsible for collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver modern, performant, scalable solutions that will go through the full engineering lifecycle, starting from initial research and prototyping to end-to-end delivery. Your contributions will span system design, quality, scalability & performance optimizations, and monitoring & telemetry, culminating in successful service rollout and ongoing live site support.

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to JavaScript or TypeScript
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3 + years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications with a particular emphasis on User Experience.
- 4 + years of experience in front-end web development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Usability Testing) and modern front-end frameworks such as: React or Angular.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Track record in developing frameworks, or services using C#, Java
- Building modern, accessible and feature-rich web applications using JavaScript , React, Angular or similar
- Passion for creating user experiences.
- Extensive design experience and fluency in design patterns, with attention to security, performance, reliability, scalability, accessibility and developer experience.
- Experience building Microfrontends using WebPack Module F ederation or similar frameworks
- Experience building AI features using LLM frameworks (like Sema n tic Kern e l, Lang c hain or similar frameworks)
- Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Experience in dealing with ambiguity and driving projects that span multiple engineering teams by bring ing clarity and creat ing energy
- Ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
