Description:
Conceptualize, design, architect, and implement the next generation automatic HDL code generation technologies that convert system designs into production-ready FPGAs and ASICs. Design, architect, implement and test new complier technologies to enable algorithms written in Simulink and MATLAB to efficiently implement them on FPGA and ASIC platforms. Develop new partitioning, scheduling and resource allocation algorithms for hardware implementation. Design the software architecture. Implement the idea in C++ and MATLAB. Test and integrate the features into Simulink, MATLAB and HDL code generation products. May telecommute up to 40%.

Minimum Qualifications:
Employer will accept a PhD degree in Engineering [any], Computer Science, or related field and no experience in the job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Engineering [any], Computer Science, or related and [2] two years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering [any], Computer Science, or a related field and [5] five years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstratable experience with each of the following:
Expertise with C++; Compiler development and knowledge on software compiler design especially Intermediate Representation (IR); Program Static Analysis and Compiler Design - Understanding of dataflow and control flow analysis; Software Design Patterns - Using knowledge of design patterns to develop scalable software architectures; Profiling and debugging C, C++, and FPGA; Hardware design for FPGAs and ASICs; and Hardware description languages such as VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
Experience may be gained during graduate program. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
