We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Communications Test Systems team. This role involves developing comprehensive documentation, writing C# code, designing physical interface connections, and troubleshooting using external test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate must be proficient in object-oriented programming and have a deep understanding of RF systems and measurements.
Responsibilities
The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $67.00/hr.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Communications Test Systems team. This role involves developing comprehensive documentation, writing C# code, designing physical interface connections, and troubleshooting using external test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate must be proficient in object-oriented programming and have a deep understanding of RF systems and measurements.
Responsibilities
- Develop documentation from start to finish, including test requirements documents, validation plans, validation reports, and version descriptions.
- Write and maintain C# code for various software applications.
- Provide rough drawings for new cables showing wire connections.
- Troubleshoot using external test and measurement equipment.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to resolve issues.
- Understand and capture customer requirements to define test scenarios.
- Develop new test applications to validate requirements for RF and digital equipment.
- Analyze technical OEM documentation, schematics, and UUT behavior to determine test requirements.
- Design physical interface connections and generate electrical schematics or wire lists and bills of material.
- Configure test system instrumentation and UUT settings, apply input signals, and verify outputs.
- Perform debug and troubleshooting procedures during development and reported by end users.
- Utilize Life Cycle DevOps and revision control software for all source and document data.
- Perform software validation and verification testing.
- Travel and interface with customers as required.
- Work independently or with a team to meet project goals and ensure best practices are used.
- 7 years of software development experience in C#, C++, or other object-oriented languages.
- Fluency in and ability to demonstrate object-oriented design practices.
- Experience with communication and bench test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Basic knowledge of RF systems and measurements.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Experience in tactical/airborne radio logistics.
- Experience with MATLAB and LabVIEW.
- Understanding of software-defined architectures.
- Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Experience writing programs to remotely set up radios and take measurements.
