Your opportunity
As a Software engineer within the Investments Equity, Diversified Alternative Investments and Financial Risk team you will join a development team responsible for delivering ongoing change to the suite of applications and systems comprising Janus Hendersons investment capabilities in risk and exposure analytics and reporting.
- Work closely with the Product Owners to understand development priorities and backlog items.
- Work closely with Architects and Tech Leads, ensuring that all solutions fit well within the strategic architectural vision.
- Performs hands-on development, adhering to the SDLC framework and practices at Janus Henderson
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Must have skills
- Extensive experience with cloud-native application and data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Proficiency in programming languages, specifically Python and C#, is essential.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps, including the use of tools for CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Proven experience in working with big data technologies.
- Practical knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Exposure to C#.NET or Angular.
- Comprehensive understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.
- Experience in microservices development and API creation.
- Profound understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex systems at scale.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed development teams.
Nice to have skills
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Snowflake and relevant certifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge or experience in the Financial Services and Asset Management industry.
- Familiarity with MSCI Risk Metrics or Barra One.

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $137,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.This role will remain open through April 30, 2025.Colorado law requires an estimated closing date for job postings.
