Position Title: Senior Sourcing Specialist - Cut/Sew, Accessories, Hardgoods Team

Status: Full time

Location: Zumiez Home Office - Lynnwood, WA

Salary: $80,000 to $95,000

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage sourcing of raw material and finished goods suppliers in line with sourcing strategy, customer needs, and goals for assigned product categories: Printables and Raw Materials
  • Manage existing vendor relationships with a focus on continual improvement in support of our goals for assigned product categories in: Cut/Sew, Accessories and Hardgoods
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze supplier resources, cost structures, lead times, and production capacity to drive strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Monitor global market conditions, including tariffs, freight challenges, and raw material costs, to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Prepare seasonal cost and margin reports, allocation breakdowns, and raw material analysis to support financial planning.
  • Manage the costing and vendor/country, factory allocation process for assigned product categories: Printables and Raw Materials
  • Analyze tech pack and vendor details to determine appropriate costs specific to C/O
  • Manage the negotiation of product cost and work with design, development, supply base to meet IMU% and sourcing goals
  • Work closely with production counterpart to hand over new styles for PO placement on time and with complete information
  • Assist production counterpart as needed to resolve production issues
  • Monitor on-order to ensure that sourcing strategy is being followed
  • Work with Design, Production, and Buyers to move styles as needed to stay in line with sourcing strategy
  • Support and manage to multiple calendars with internal and external partners
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of 1-4 Production Planners, Associates and/or Assistants or Souring Specialists and/or Sourcing Associates.
  • Assist on projects as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree preferably with course work in textiles and sourcing/production
  • 5+ years of sourcing/production related experience is required
  • 2+ years managing direct reports
  • Ability and willingness to work hard in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to reprioritize quickly and efficiently to rapidly changing needs and situations
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to problem solve through critical thinking
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize workload
  • Ability to learn by doing rather than reading a manual or formal training
  • May travel domestically and/or internationally up to 4 weeks per year


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to sit in stationary position in an office environment for extended periods of time and work on a PC without limitations
  • Constantly positions self to maintain computers and desk equipment
  • Ability to move in an office environment in order to access files and gather information
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with customers who have inquiries about product or their orders. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and inspect materials on product
