Who We Are Looking For:

Maintains and monitors the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records. In-depth analysis of both operational and financial data to help align business processes and strategies with financial goals and to evaluate progress toward those goals.

What will you be doing as a Senior Staff Accountant
  • Lead the Month-end closing activities, including functional review of expense accounts, monthly accruals,
  • Preparing and adjusting entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP)
  • Oversee the General Ledger, approve journal entries, perform general account analysis and advanced
  • balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare financial reports such as financial statements, budget performance, and interim financial reporting
    • Interpret and evaluate results
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal staff in accomplishing required financial and tax audits
  • Lead the development of accounting procedures and internal controls in collaboration with accounting staff
  • Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, forecasting future financial performance, variance analysis
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.


Required education, technical skills, and/or experience:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, experience with NetSuite or other enterprise ERP systems
  • Strong experience in both the private and public accounting sectors preferred
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality, understand the ethical standards of accounting
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate
  • recommendations in a concise and timely manner
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over the same
  • GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
  • Analyze, organize, summarize, and articulate complex financial information
  • Able to read and interpret agreements and then implement the relevant provisions of these agreements
  • Understanding, yet persuasive and decisive when dealing with others in the organization
  • Task and goal-oriented and capable of functioning in an entrepreneurial and corporate setting

TRAVEL:

Travel is occasionally required for this position. Must have a valid driver's license and motor vehicle insurance.
