Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and coordinate the preparation of design drawings with Project Management, Estimating, and Drafting departments to produce signed and sealed construction plans. Research and investigate information for design analysis and drawing production. Analyze structures using both finite element and classical methods considering all applicable load conditions and code requirements. Develop, perform, and prepare designs and drawings for the following items using various materials including as concrete, carbon fiber, steel, fiberglass, and timber: Two dimensional and three dimensional structures; One- and two-way slabs; Plate and shell structures; Scaffold and shoring formwork; and Prestressed elements using single-wire and strand. Prepare and review various drawings and other visual aids. Review and check other design staff's work. Advise management and staff as technical specialist in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods of prestressed tank design.
Standards Develop and maintain standard Company design sheets and details. Develop programming for prestressed concrete tank, formwork and associated structure applications. Review and edit specifications for conformity and quality assurance.
Leadership Responsibilities: Active participation in department meetings and completion of assigned department responsibilities. Prepare and/or review scope, budget, and assignments for engineering designs. Develop and lead inter-company design presentations. Review operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies.
Professional Conduct/Development: Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education including reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies and educational workshops. Participate in applicable code and standard organizations including ACI, AWWA, or ASCE at the direction of the department manager. Enhance the Company's image through personal demeanor and methods of conducting business.
Other duties as assigned and seasonal projects as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
- M.S. Degree Civil or Structural Engineering, or similar ABET/EAC accredited program
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering design and comprehensive knowledge of structural design standards and codes
- Intermediate to advance proficiency in design software such as Staad Pro, NX Nastran, Mathcad and AutoCAD Intermediate to advance Visual Studio programming skills
Preferred Qualifications
- SECB certification.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office
- Occasional travel will be required
- Extended hours will be required as necessary to meet deadlines
