Your role:
- Lead Design Excellence: Drive the development of advanced electrical substation designs, ensuring they meet industry standards and exceed client expectations.
- Mentor and Guide: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less senior engineers, fostering professional growth and ensuring quality across projects.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution from concept to completion.
- Optimize Performance: Conduct detailed analyses to enhance substation reliability, performance, and safety.
- Manage Projects: Oversee multiple high-stakes projects, adapt to shifting priorities, and deliver on time and within budget.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, presenting project updates, resolving technical inquiries, and building lasting relationships.
- Ensure Compliance: Participate in inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews, proactively addressing any challenges to maintain compliance.
- Field Leadership: Perform site visits to assess substation conditions, lead field investigations, and support construction planning.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Advanced expertise in electrical engineering principles, substation design, and power systems.
- Deep knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations governing substation projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and the MS Office Suite.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage complex projects and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively engage clients, contractors, and regulators.
- A strategic mindset to develop innovative solutions and long-term project strategies.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, plus 7+ years of experience in utilities, consulting, or related industries.
- A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience leading substation projects from design to commissioning.
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred; Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification required.
- Certifications: PMP certification, advanced coursework in power systems, and additional training in leadership or project management are highly valued.
