About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee the construction of mid-rise wood-frame residential projects (up to 8 stories) valued at $100 million plus across Metro Vancouver. In this leadership role, you will manage all aspects of on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-driven leader with a deep understanding of wood-frame construction on concrete parkade. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage on-site construction activities for mid-rise wood-frame residential projects from start to finish.
Develop and execute project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans, ensuring all milestones are met.
Oversee subcontractor and supplier coordination, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
Ensure strict compliance with BC Building Codes, municipal regulations, and workplace safety standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and troubleshooting to address construction challenges proactively.
Foster a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring all team members follow WorkSafeBC and company safety policies.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and quality assurance records.
Provide mentorship and leadership to site teams, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership to drive project success.
What You Bring:
10+ years of experience in multi-family residential construction, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent role.
Proven track record leading mid-rise wood-frame residential projects (4 to 8 stories) valued at $50M - $100M from start to finish as the lead.
Strong understanding of wood-frame construction techniques, sequencing, and best practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of BC Building Codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make strategic decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar).
