indie is empowering the Autotech revolution with next generation automotive semiconductors and software platforms. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.
We are looking for a highly skilled, results-driven individual to drive the architecture, technical specifications, and development of power delivery solutions, particularly focused on wireless charging and USB Power Delivery (USB-PD). The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in electrical engineering, power systems, and automotive standards to help shape next-generation products. If the candidate's industry knowledge and expertise prove to meet a high threshold, there may be opportunity for rapid advancement, including a management-level role.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) is required. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
Experience: Hands-on experience with circuit design and troubleshooting, particularly in power electronics, is essential. Experience in developing complex systems and testing methodologies is a plus.
Technical Expertise:
Software Skills: Strong software foundation; proficiency in Python is highly desirable. Firmware development experience is also a plus.
Automotive Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive electronics design and cybersecurity for automotive applications is beneficial.
Protocols & Interfaces: Experience with hardware interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, as well as knowledge of LIN and CAN buses is a plus.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong technical documentation skills, including the creation of SRDs, datasheets, and application notes. Excellent presentation and communication skills are highly valued.
Team Player: A collaborative attitude is crucial as team culture is at the heart of indie.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and document system requirements for Wireless and USB Power Delivery ICs.
- Lead and create System Requirements Documents (SRDs).
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams on wireless charging and USB-PD system development, including PCB design, layout, and system integration.
- Validate, analyze, and verify system-level designs.
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
- Provide technical support to both internal teams and external customers.
- Lead the system aspects of chip development, from concept through launch.
- Develop, define, or contribute to technical collateral for product launches, including demos, datasheets, application notes, and training materials.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Platform Solutions, and FAEs to define new product features, performance goals, and architectures. Represent the customer's technical needs internally.
- Engage directly with customers on early product bring-up and system-level development, providing both remote and on-site support.

- Solid foundation in power circuits and their physics, including time/frequency analysis and feedback systems.
- Experience with key circuit components: Op-Amps, ADC/DAC, LDOs, mixers, delta-sigma modules, PLLs, and oscillators.
- Power electronics knowledge, including resonant converters, is highly desirable.
- CMOS analog IC design experience is a plus.
- Experience with Qi-based wireless charging or USB-PD standards is highly advantageous.
- Experience with and knowledge of Arm Cortex M based MCUs and embedded flash systems is required.
- Experience with automotive Cybersecurity, Secure Elements, and Digital Key systems is a plus.
