Alltech, a global leader in animal health and nutrition, is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join its IT/Technology team. This is a full-time role, reporting to the Global Infrastructure Manager.
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based infrastructure and applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient. You will also be involved in planning, configuration, and troubleshooting of Alltech Cloud services, with a focus on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based infrastructure and applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient. You will also be involved in planning, configuration, and troubleshooting of Alltech Cloud services, with a focus on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure and applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient.
- Support and troubleshoot enterprise level, mission-critical applications, resolving complex issues and driving technical resolution across cross-functional organizations.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor Azure infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization to reduce costs.
- Implement and enforce cloud security policies and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, firewall, and backup.
- Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure infrastructure and provide training and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Research and evaluate new cloud technologies and trends and provide recommendations for improvement and innovation.
- Implementation and Migration: Lead the implementation of Azure solutions and manage cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain Azure security best practices, compliance requirements, and data protection policies, including managing identity and access (Azure AD), threat protection, and data encryption.
- Identity Management: Develop and manage robust identity and access management solutions using Azure Active Directory, including Single Sign-On (SSO) for customer-facing applications, ensuring secure and seamless user access across all cloud services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure best practices are implemented across the Azure Infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- 3+ Years Azure Cloud Engineering experience.
- Azure cloud certifications are highly desirable: Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and serverless architecture.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, firewall, and backup.
- Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools, such as Azure DevOps, PowerShell, ARM templates, or Terraform.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools, such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Log Analytics.
- Experience with cloud migration and integration tools, such as Azure Migrate, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Service Bus.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
