Responsibilities
- Support a NOC/Command Center on-site for 2nd or 3rd shift
- Monitor Infrastructure Operation Services in a NOC environment
- Support restoration services such as restarting servers, processes and or tools
- Identify when an event qualifies as needing a disaster mitigation or a disaster recovery response
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies
- Willingness to train on DR processes
- Validate and test Infrastructure Operations (IO) Incident response
- Assist in development and testing of plans, policies, and procedures for Disaster Mitigation (DM)/Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Assist with the orchestration of actions during DM/DR event and report as required
Qualifications
- Must be able to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by support tools and implement corrective actions quickly
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other
- Requires System Admin skills/background
- Experience in Linux and or Windows
- NAS experience is a plus
- Active Directory experience is a plus
- SQL experience is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years' work experience
- Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total)
Clearance:
- The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation
Location:
- Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site)
- Thursday - Monday (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM CST Time)
