Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise systems and cloud infrastructure. This position requires a proactive individual with deep technical expertise across various platforms and a passion for problem-solving and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services (EC2, S3, WatchTower, and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code).
  • Administer Office 365 and Exchange Online environments.
  • Administer and optimize Zscaler services, including ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Intune for device and application management (including Windows Defender).
  • Maintain and optimize VMware vSphere 8 environments, including vCenter, ESXi, and Horizon View.
  • Administer Windows Server roles and services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and BitLocker.
  • Maintain and monitor hardware systems, including Dell PowerEdge servers, PureStorage SANs, and Ubiquiti Edge/Unifi devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies and security measures to protect organizational assets.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Skills Required

Required:

  • Minimum 4 years experience
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, WatchTower, Terraform).
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365, Exchange Online, and Intune.
  • Expertise in managing Zscaler services (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
  • Experience managing VMware vSphere 8 environments (vCenter, ESXi, Horizon View).
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server roles and services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and BitLocker.
  • Knowledge of enterprise hardware (Dell PowerEdge servers, PureStorage SANs, Ubiquiti Edge/Unifi).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, or Zscaler certifications.
  • Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks relevant to IT (e.g., CMMC, NIST, C-SCRM).

Education

Bachelors degree preferred, preferably in management information systems, math or engineering. Additional degrees or certifications may subsitute for years of experience.
