We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Analyst to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
If selected you will:
- Help implement, maintain, and support multiple complex Windows and Linux servers/clusters located both on premises and in the cloud. This include providing various application and system level support and knowledge of software repository systems, GPOs, advanced security concepts, and advanced networking.
- Be well versed and well rounded in most compute technologies, architectures, and also experienced with usage and support of advanced video equipment used with the International Space Station.
- Primarily maintain systems the ideal candidate will be experienced with most or all concepts of systems and network maintenance and related security best practices.
Qualifications:

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Advanced knowledge of networking and network security.
- Advanced knowledge of GPO creation and maintenance.
- AWS Cloud operations skills and knowledge of provisioning systems.
- SVN or GitLab software repository skills.
- File share and directory management - permissions, ACLs, etc.
- Network and server diagram and documentation creation and maintenance.
- Medium level support of system administration skills, knowledge, fundamentals, and best practices.
- Knowledge of highly complex video equipment and infrastructure.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills - be able to understand and communicate complex topics with simplicity.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to multi- task.
- Must be a self-starter and take initiative.
- Customer service attitude.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Manipulating data in Excel (sorting/filtering/searching) is essential.
- Visio is a strong plus.
- Must know how to use Microsoft Windows and remote communication tools (i.e., Teams).
- Good technical writing skills.
- Basic budget/financial knowledge.
- Ability to conduct independent analyses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Typically has a BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university OR one (1) to three (3) years of progressive, relevant experience, or an MS degree in a computer or system science OR on three (3) to seven (7) years of progressive experience, or Ph.D. degree in a computer of system science discipline OR seven (7) to ten (10) years or progressive experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with NASA/JSC IT process/requirements is highly preferred.
- Experience with Amentum's procurement process is a plus.
- SharePoint experience is a plus
- Should have previous experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment. - Prior experience providing in-person and remote/phone technical support.
- Knowledge of NASA/JSC IT Standards.
