The Systems Business Analyst acts as a liaison between technical and business user groups. The individual is responsible for defining and documenting business systems requirements and ensuring technology solutions enhance and support the business operations. The individual also identifies technology alternatives and recommends system solutions to business and technical audiences. The Systems Business Analyst participates in all phases of the systems development life cycle - from project scoping, planning and requirements definition to issues resolution, testing, training and implementation.

The Systems Business Analyst acts as a liaison between technical and business user groups. The Systems Business Analyst participates in all phases of the systems development life cycle - from project scoping, planning and requirements definition to issues resolution, testing, training and implementation.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day support of business users and all applications
- Define project scope and manage projects from requirements to final implementation
- Validate new and enhanced functionality and conforms to BBH SDLC standards
- Liaison between business and system groups to support SIT, UAT, and PROD
- Communicate effectively and proactively with the business, vendor(s), and systems
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, etc.
- Conduct project meetings with business, vendors, and systems groups.
- Manage execution of the project plan, control the project budget, ensure the effective use of project resources and coordinate change control activities.
- Flexibility to plan and lead project meetings during Non-US business hours to support global development efforts
- Provide escalation support and resolution for production related incidents
Qualifications include:
- BA/BS degree and/or related work experience a plus but not required if the candidate has extensive business application knowledge for SWIFT messaging and other Client deliverables.
- 4+ years of systems experience, preferable at a financial services company
- Deep understanding of the SDLC process
- Well versed with JIRA, qTest, and Confluence a plus
- Understanding of Open Workbench and Clarity a plus
Analytical skills
- Ability to sort through issues and document the impact on core Corporate Actions and Tax applications
- Must be detail-oriented with strong written and verbal language skills with the ability to communicate effectively with global application development teams
- Strong analytical skills SQL (joins, merge, group by, unions, distinct, etc.) and the ability to present and explain the data are a plus but not required
- Prepare essential documentation to define requirements, test plans, analysis, etc.
- Ability to multi-task on multiple projects and workstreams daily
Technical Skills
- Ability to write and execute simple SQL queries for research purposes a plus
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experienced with Windows, Linux, and WebSphere a plus
- Additional technical items: Oracle 11g and 12c, DB2, Ultra Edit, SQL, PL/SQL, Hyperion, Microsoft SQL Server, ProTech
