The Swift Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to automate the processing of large forensic images, extract and enrich metadata, and display resulting information in meaningful ways for analysts to conduct their assessments. This position is onsite in McLean, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, format, and maintain data from multiple sources.
- Develop and manage data processing workflows in the customer pipeline.
- Evaluate, extract, and process System and Event Logs.
- Develop and maintain processing pipelines and documentation.
- Identify, classify, and verify incoming dataset types.
- Identify and implement COTS and Open Source Data Enhancement capabilities.
- Code scripts and software modules to convert non-standard datasets.
- Standardize, store, extract, reference, and validate data.
- Develop and deploy processing pipelines to cloud analytics platforms.
- Develop requirements to support data analytics customers and integration partners.
- Develop software standards and practices documentation.
- Support Agile development.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with an AWS cloud environment.
- Proven ability in understanding and implementing system security requirements.
- Background in creating a testing environment to identify and improve bugs and efficiencies.
- Expertise in programming in Python, PowerShell, and Java 8+.
- Skill in using Python and the PySpark library to read, write, and manipulate large structured and semi-structured datasets.
- Proficiency in using task tracking and version control technology including JIRA and GitHub.
- Familiarity with SQL and database technologies such as MySQL or SQL Server.
- Knowledge in using and managing ElasticSearch clusters.
- Capability in tuning and optimizing ElasticSearch.
- Experience creating and managing ElasticSearch indices.
- Expertise with Apache Spark and managing Spark clusters.
- Ability in tuning and optimizing Apache Spark.
- Background with the Databricks platform and Databricks API & CLI.
- Understanding of Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
- Familiarity with Databricks File System (DBFS).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) technologies including AWS Cloud Formation.
- Proficiency in using automated build tools such as Jenkins.
- Expertise in implementing machine learning models on text and multimedia data such as Spark NLP and Computer Vision models.
- Knowledge with Linux operating systems and shell scripting such as Bash.
- Capability in developing machine learning models on text data and structured datasets.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or 5+ years of additional experience.
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications:
- Professional experience with cloud technology networks, digital forensics, or cybersecurity topics.
- Experience using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies/packages.
- Familiarity with data pipelines and workflow technologies.
- MA/MS Degree.
