Summary: The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a secure infrastructure in a highly regulated environment utilizing a modern, simplified, and 100% Azure tech stack. This role would be highly autonomous, allowing for creativity in designing and implementing cutting edge solutions.

Specific Job Functions:
- Design and deploy scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing Azure cloud solutions
- Provision, manage, and support Azure cloud resources such as Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, SQL Managed Instances, Azure AI Instances, Logic Apps, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Networking, Defender for Cloud, etc.
- Analyze operational efficiency related to infrastructure and the user experience, identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks
- Palo Alto \ Meraki firewall support and implementation
- Provide oversight and support for troubleshooting escalated problems
- Implement, monitor, and support complex solutions to meet business objectives, enhance productivity, and increase security in a highly regulated environment
- Disaster recovery design, planning, and implementation
- Remain current on emerging technologies and best practices
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- 7+ years work experience in Information Technology
- Minimum 3 years work experience as a Network or System Engineer ideally with a focus on cloud infrastructure
- Ability to translate complex technical topics to senior non-technical stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Proven history of delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Confidentiality and integrity in all tasks.
- Experience in a regulated environment is preferred
