Remote Work Flexibility

This position offers hybrid remote work flexibility within Maine (minimum 2 in-office days per week). Fully remote work opportunities will be considered for residents of one of the following states: FL, GA, IN, IO, KY, ME, MI, MO, NH, NJ, NC, PA, RI, SC, TX, VA, WI.

Position Overview

As a senior member of the IT Infrastructure team, this position is responsible for the following:
  • Research, design, planning, implementation, and management of cloud technologies and solutions on an ongoing basis.
  • Administration of infrastructure systems to ensure optimal availability on a 24/7 basis.
  • Managing infrastructure and security projects to meet IT and business strategic and tactical goals by working with stakeholders to identify requirements, researching potential vendors, facilitating at project meetings, and participating in the rollout.
  • Manage vendor contract terms and obligations, establishing business goals for each vendor and developing processes to measure performance and continuous achievement of the established goals.
  • Assist other IT teams to resolve and remediate issues and analyze root cause. Work directly with other IT teams to ensure implementations and changes are well understood and necessary training or reference materials are available in order to reduce end-user impact and inquiries, and increase productivity, technical ability, and work quality for IT staff.
  • Managing, testing, and maintaining Stone Coast's business-continuity/disaster-recovery systems and environments.
  • Assisting in the documentation of procedures for Stone Coast's technology infrastructure by developing and documenting administrative procedures, creating workflow and system diagrams and developing reference documentation for new and changed systems.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5-10 years of experience in comparable network, systems or information technology roles.
  • Experience with executing and managing technology projects and prioritizing between competing initiatives.
  • Must have intermediate experience and knowledge, at minimum, in the following systems:
  • Cloud security solutions and best practices.
  • Networking (Routing/Switching/VPN), particularly in hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
  • Linux administration and support, particularly in Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Identity management platforms (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID, AWS IAM, etc.).
  • SharePoint (on-premises editions, such as SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Subscription Edition).
  • Log collection, aggregation, and management.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and other cloud technologies.
  • Must possess a demonstrated strong troubleshooting skillset, applying logical approaches to complex issues.
  • Must possess a demonstrated background in process improvement and automation.
  • Must possess strong decision-making and time-management skills.

Specific experience with the following is a plus:
  • Financial services companies or other regulated industries.
  • Linux support and scripting, particularly Red Hat, strongly preferred.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting.
  • SharePoint Online administration and access control.
  • Hybrid cloud infrastructure management and maintenance, including migration to and across clouds.
  • Zero-Trust Network Architecture solutions, such as ZScaler or Netskope.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure's CSP and NCE subscription models, and cost optimization.
  • Experience with cloud database engines, such as Azure SQL or Amazon RDS.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps.

Education Requirements

Four-year college degree, preferably in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or Business Management.
