Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Job Description:

• The candidate will be working on back-end integration, web service, and API testing.
• Plan, document and execute both manual and automated API test cases.
• Fulfill the role of subject matter expert for issues and questions pertaining to configuration, access, and functionality of web services (APIs) in the OBR application.
• Support and guide internal/external Ministry partners in their integration and testing activities related to the new API gateway platform and the roll-out of ReST-based APIs.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

• 5-10 years expert experience in scripting, executing, and maintaining automated.
• Third-party tools such as ReadyAPI, SoapUI and Postman.
• Design/coding techniques such as schema validation, parameter passing, and Groovy scripting.

Technical Skills/ API testing Toolset: 25%

• 5-10 years of design/coding techniques such as schema validation, parameter passing, and Groovy scripting.
• 5-10 years Hands-on testing experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, Oracle, structured SQL-based query languages, and IBM API Connect platform.
• Hands-on experience using Client ALM, JIRA and other test/defect management tools.

Expert QA Testing Experience :25%

• Expert QA testing experience (functional and non-functional) of SOAP-based and ReST-based transactional web services in an n-tier Java EE server environment, ideally in the context of occupational and/or business registry systems.

Communication and Relationship Management Skills: 10%

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• bility to document complex test plans/cases for technical systems clearly and perform knowledge transfer effectively to full time technical staff.
• Good understanding of systems environments, business analysis and change management.
• Proven ability to prioritize and parallelize assigned tasks to achieve milestones within tight deadlines.
