The impact you will have:

As Senior Talent Advisor, you will be an integral member of our team. Reporting to our Recruitment Solutions Delivery Leader, you will be responsible for managing Recruitment projects/requisitions and fostering and growing relationships with our clients and candidate communities. You are a natural collaborator and you're always up for a challenge. You receive enormous satisfaction from bringing clients and top talent together and having a positive impact on their organizations and careers.

Your responsibilities will include all aspects of attracting and placing great talent for our established client base, as well as new clients that you bring to the table. We're looking for someone who demonstrates a strong, independent work ethic, knowledge of best practices for attracting top talent, the ability to develop and nurture strong working relationships and a passion for providing excellent client satisfaction.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct client intake calls to establish a deep understanding of client need, culture, fit, positional nuances and interview/communication protocol.
  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with the client's goals and objectives, focusing on recruiting high-caliber talent.
  • Lead searches and identify top-tier candidates through direct sourcing, networking, and other channels.
  • Assess candidates, conduct video/phone interviews, coordinate client interview process, manage debrief discussions and offer processes (including compensation recommendation and offer negotiation).
  • Utilize innovative recruiting technologies and tools to streamline and enhance the recruitment process, including applicant tracking systems, AI-driven sourcing platforms, and digital interviewing platforms.
  • Champion a candidate-centric approach to recruitment, ensuring that candidates receive a positive and professional experience throughout the entire hiring process, from initial contact to onboarding.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of candidates through market research and ongoing bench management, demonstrating the ability to anticipate client needs and hiring manager preferences by delivering strong submit-to-interview and interview-to-offer ratios.
  • Contribute to business unit success by pro-actively developing new business opportunities.
  • Be a strong culture contributor, setting a positive tone for our team and managing effectively in a remote environment.
  • Participate in key Recruitment team projects and programs as needed, to evolve the function and continue to develop as a leader in the talent acquisition space.
  • Represent The Talent Company as appropriate at conferences, networking and industry events
  • Support clients with their commitments to diversity, ensuring that sourcing strategies attract as diverse a range of candidates as possible.
  • Network in the marketplace, creating and maintaining contacts in the HR and local business community to increase brand awareness, promote The Talent Company's services and ensure access to passive and active local talent. Build and maintain knowledge of target industries, clients, roles, market share and competition.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and candidate documentation including records of sales and recruitment/placement activities utilizing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM (Hubspot) and ATS (JobAdder), ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests as required to support colleagues with providing exceptional client service.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • 5+ years as a full-cycle recruitment professional preferably within both agency and either outsourced/RPO or in-house environments, working primarily on corporate positions.
  • Post-secondary HR education and/or designation (CHRP/CHRL), a passion for the HR profession and an existing/growing network.
  • Proven ability to successfully perform all aspects of recruitment, including competitive market research, passive sourcing, advanced internet searches, negotiating and closing candidates while achieving results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven recruiting environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence and motivate others, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional assessment skills including an understanding of competencies and deep understanding of behavioral and competency-based interviewing.
  • Skilled in the art of networking, lead generation and prospect development with the ability to confidently source and approach new prospects, utilizing excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong time prioritization and problem-solving skills with ability to embrace change and demonstrate flexibility when directions and priorities shift.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and writing skills, experience working in an applicant tracking system, online sourcing tools, and a strong social media presence.
  • Proven consistently high levels of customer service performance, with an ability to build strong client and candidate relationships
  • A natural curiosity in speaking with candidates and clients, listening well in order to understand nuances and determine fit based on criteria.
  • A desire to learn, grow and expand your knowledge and experience base.

This is a primarily remote position however we prefer candidates who reside within the Greater Toronto area and who are willing and flexible to work onsite (from our Markham and/or Mississauga offices) at least once every 4-8 weeks for team and/or client meetings and collaboration.
