About the Role

We are seeking an Experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our technical accounting operations and assist our accounting team. This position is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing our financial procedures. You will report to the Controller and work closely with senior management to support strategic financial decisions through detailed analysis, insights, reporting, and efficiency projects.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Ensure integrity and timeliness of accounting information by verifying GAAP compliance and reconciling transactions with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Assist in managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and feedback to management.
  • Assist with evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls.
  • Assist/Lead efforts with external auditors during financial, tax, and operational audits.
  • Work with internal tax department for preparation and filing of all tax returns and other required reports.
  • Recognize and assist team members with GAAP and best practices.
  • Create and maintain a documented system of accounting processes and policies.
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems.
  • Create and maintain department schedules (ME close, Managerial reporting, taxes, payroll, etc)
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Manage or assist with ad hoc projects and reporting.

Salary : $100,000 to $130,000

What You Should Already Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification highly preferred.
  • 3-4 years of Big 4 experience
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting and the ability to research accounting topics when required.
  • Experience with technical memos
  • Experience with ASC 842
  • Experience with debt, including amortization schedules, and compensation related accounting topics
  • Superior attention to detail and an ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
