This role sits at the important intersection of insurance, data science, and technology innovation-where your strategic vision will directly shape how we evaluate risk and deliver value to our clients. By leveraging both traditional underwriting knowledge and modern modeling techniques, you'll help Parsyl build smarter solutions that address the unique challenges of the commodities we serve while supporting our business growth in both the US and London markets.

Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $150,000-$180,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's location, experience, qualifications, and skills.

This role sits at the important intersection of insurance, data science, and technology innovation-where your strategic vision will directly shape how we evaluate risk and deliver value to our clients. By leveraging both traditional underwriting knowledge and modern modeling techniques, you'll help Parsyl build smarter solutions that address the unique challenges of the commodities we serve while supporting our business growth in both the US and London markets.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the vision, development, and strategy for the models that support differentiated data-driven underwriting
- Manage the model development lifecycle from conception through launch, including market research, roadmap development, team ceremony facilitation, testing, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and measure KPIs post-launch to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of models being used
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate new data sets to increase model effectiveness, including via strategic data partnerships
Requirements

What we're looking for:
- 7+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 of those years in product management or data science and machine learning
- A history of proven delivery
- Ability to communicate effectively, write strong product requirements, and drive action across functions and teams.
- A detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple projects & priorities
- Experience working in (and helping define) an evolving product development process
It's a bonus if you also have:
- Familiarity with the Insurance industry and/or supply chain
- Experience working at a startup and/or at an insurtech
- Familiarity with actuarial concepts

Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $150,000-$180,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's location, experience, qualifications, and skills.
