The Senior Technology Vendor Manager is responsible for managing a team of Vendor Managers who are directly accountable for all stages of the Vendor Lifecycle within the Technology Group. These lifecycle phases include planning, selection, contracting, negotiating, monitoring, renewals and termination This leader will be directly responsible for setting negotiation strategies, creating a sustainable preferred vendor program and approving all negotiated commercial terms for technology contracts for BBH. In addition, they will proactively identity issues and emerging risks with these relationships and mitigate or escalate as appropriate to senior management.

Responsibilities
Strategy and Vendor Management
- Develop a program and strategy for vendor management across the technology group.
- Implement the annual procurement plan for each calendar year that supports the established cost savings targets and technology plan.
- Develop and maintain a preferred vendor program across technology that reduces run rate costs and decreases total vendor population.
- Approve all negotiated contracts by the technology vendor management team.
- Define standard processes for onboarding Technology vendors.
- Ensure contracts are in compliance with corporate, regulator, legal requirements and standards.
- Define contractual Service Level Agreements to measure Vendor Performance.
Communications
- Key management interface with both internal and external stakeholders
- Work with systems management team to determine the needs of the firm, as it pertains to vendors and vendor agreements.
- Communicate to management and key stakeholders, the contract risks and exceptions to established standards.
- Acts as central point of contact for the Technology Vendor Management Standards.
Operational Management
- Build a dedicated and experienced vendor management team to establish standard practice for vendor management.
- Create and maintain a preferred vendor management program for technology.
- Promote Vendor accountability to drive business performance.
Analysis/ Metrics Design
- Identify best practices across processes.
- Develop and maintain vendor performance scorecard framework.
- Develop and maintain vendor performance management materials such as metrics, scorecards, key performance indicators (KPI)
Risk/Compliance/ Governance
- Develop and implement formal governance and performance management capabilities to measure vendors.
- Ensures documented exit strategies are in place for all High-Risk Business Technology Vendors.
Education and Qualification
- BA/BS Degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science or Engineering; advance degree desirable.
- Possess a minimum of 12 years' experience in managing technology projects, functions and people management with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Vendor management leadership experience desirable, with experience in strategic sourcing practices, vendor dashboards, vendor negotiations, strategic cost reduction initiatives, and vendor quality turn around.
- Track record of successful execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives and significant change projects preferred.
- Financial Industry experienced preferred
- Understanding of market competitiveness, emerging trends and ability to provide global sourcing intelligence.
- Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
- Ability to communicate effectively and motivate team and others; ability to deliver persuasive and credible presentations to at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and "ever changing" environment leveraging strong interpersonal and influencing skills
