The Opportunity
Mawer Investment Management is currently looking for an exceptional and experienced Senior Total Rewards Manager to manage the firm's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring we are competitive and aligned with business needs. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this role provides day-to-day support on pay decisions, incentive plans, and market analysis. Working closely with HR and Finance, the Senior Total Rewards Manager will also help shape global rewards practices as the company grows.

The Opportunity
Mawer Investment Management is currently looking for an exceptional and experienced Senior Total Rewards Manager to manage the firm's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring we are competitive and aligned with business needs. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this role provides day-to-day support on pay decisions, incentive plans, and market analysis. Working closely with HR and Finance, the Senior Total Rewards Manager will also help shape global rewards practices as the company grows.
Role Responsibilities
- Advise HR and hiring managers on compensation for new employment offers, promotions, and internal equity
- Conduct and participate in compensation surveys to benchmark roles and maintain market competitiveness
- Bring knowledge of compensation structures, pay bands, leveling frameworks, and total rewards best practices
- Analyze data to assess program effectiveness, model compensation scenarios, and inform strategic recommendations
- Manage and improve annual incentive and bonus programs in collaboration with HR and Finance
- Work closely with the Finance team in annual budgeting and regular forecasting for salary structures, merit increases, incentive programs, and ensure alignment with firm goals and initiatives
- Recommend and implement process improvements, particularly around year-end compensation cycles and communications
- Evaluate and recommend competitive, scalable total rewards programs to support global growth-including for local employees, expats, and international markets
- Stay current with best-in-class benefits and compensation practices across multiple geographies
- Ensure all rewards programs comply with local labour laws and regulations across global jurisdictions
- Develop and deliver clear communication and change management strategies to support compensation and benefits initiatives
- Partner effectively with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to ensure rewards programs are aligned with business objectives
- Mentor and coach more junior total rewards team members to support their growth and development
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, or related field
- CCP or similar total rewards certification preferred
- 7+ years of experience in total rewards, compensation, and/or benefits, with at least 2 years in a global or multi-country environment
- Strong working knowledge of compensation structures, market data, and incentive pay
- Demonstrated ability to work across strategy and execution-comfortable advising leaders one moment and diving into spreadsheets the next
- Analytical mindset with fluency in tools like Excel and experience working with compensation platforms or data dashboards
- Knowledge of global employment law and benefits compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience managing change and delivering people-centric messaging
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across departments
- Experience with HRIS and compensation tools
