Summary:
The Training Manager specializes in Sales Training, Development of Competencies, Assisted Sales, and Curation of Content. They will possess a strong passion for success, an abundance of energy and be committed to delivering superior service and performance for our National Retailer. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, goal oriented and a team player excited to learn and grow as a member of the MarketSource team.
Additionally, they must be able to comfortably explain technology, educate consumers, sales associates, and development of Market Trainers and multi-unit leaders. The National Training Manager will uphold the quality of the MarketSource experience through education, learning content, and trainer development.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee a team of training associates in different markets throughout the country
Create, Supervise, and Conduct training sessions in-person and virtually as required, both on the sales floor and in a classroom setting for new hires and existing sales team members.
Receives and Implements input on the development of training content and holds accountability on training associates regarding individual and assigned market performance & improvement
In partnership with the Regional Managers, the Training Manager is tasked with cultivating a collaborative and energetic culture, driving professional development for multi-unit leaders and their team, safeguarding brand standards and impacting key performance indicators.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of training programs through metrics, including sales performance, leadership feedback, and participant feedback.
Continuously evaluate and improve the new hires experience through training and support provided by training associates
Collaborate with L&D on creating and developing training content for field deployment.
Facilitate new District Manager training virtually and in-person as needed (quarterly)
Improve employee Sales Productivity through proper sales behaviors and feedback.
Participate in the interview and hiring process of training associates.
Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the client and the organization.
Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
Prepares and implements training budget.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge and experience with consumer electronics and other consumer products
Ability to provide training, demonstrating and presentation
Possess a high degree of initiative, exercises judgment and exhibits a high level of creativity
Ability to engage customers and establish relationships
Ability to work in a changing environment and adapt to the needs of the business.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability.
Thorough understanding of training processes.
Ability to moderate large groups.
Extremely organized and detail oriented.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in communications or related area preferred.
At least two years of experience in training with one year of supervisory experience required.
3-5 years of experience in a retail environment driving sales, 1-2 years multi-unit sales management experience
Proven track record of being successful at attaining sales objectives
Experience developing skills and competencies
Proficiency with technology - data gathering and basic computer use
50 - 75% travel required to assigned stores within market.
Out-of-state travel required.
Flexibility to work weekends
