As a Senior Transmission Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and upgrading high-voltage transmission and distribution projects that support utility and renewable energy initiatives. What You'll Do:
- Lead with innovation - Develop conceptual designs aligned with client standards, contributing to cutting-edge energy projects.
- Drive project success - Perform and review engineering design deliverables to ensure precision and compliance.
- Collaborate directly with clients - Engage in project discussions, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
- Shape infrastructure - Produce material specifications for transmission line projects that support the evolving energy grid.
- Guide project execution - Plan and coordinate projects with autonomy while providing construction planning and support.
- Ensure regulatory compliance - Review and integrate planning and regulatory requirements into project execution.
- Foster team synergy - Communicate effectively with department management and project teams to drive project excellence.
- Stay adaptable - Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support our growing portfolio of projects.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Deep understanding of transmission and distribution (T&D) design principles and industry best practices.
- Experience with high and medium voltage applications, ensuring reliable power solutions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, and/or Civil 3D to support efficient design processes.
- Strong command of MS Office Suite, facilitating documentation and communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, making collaboration seamless.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
- 7+ years of experience in the utility, consulting, or related industry.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred.
