Position Summary
A career in the Treasury group at South Jersey Industries offers exposure to cashflow forecasting, capital planning, debt servicing, and cash management. The Treasury team collaborates closely with the Treasurer, CFO, and other senior leaders, as wells as key external partners like investment banks, rating agencies, and regulators. This role provides opportunities to contribute to strategic initiatives in our growing, clean energy company. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong understanding of treasury functions and a self-starting, intellectually curious problem-solver. Essential Functions:

  • Develop liquidity forecasts and present monthly variance analysis to senior leaders.


  • Create reports to monitor the company's capital structure, including debt and equity ratios and rating agency metrics.


  • Support financing activities, including communication with investment banks, legal counsel, and other consultants, and assist with presentation materials for investors, rating agencies, or the Board of Directors.


  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance Treasury operations, collaborating with other teams as needed.


  • Provide information for external, internal, and regulatory audits, and assist other departments with quarter-end and ad hoc information requests.


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.


  • Proficiency with other analytical/statistical software, e.g., Python, R, etc., a plus.


  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


  • Demonstrated ability to implement process changes and drive improvements.


  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal and external teams to resolve issues and achieve goals.


Preferred Skills:
  • MBA and/or CTP accreditation, a plus.


Qualifications

Required Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field with five years of experience in Finance and/or Treasury, or;


  • Master's degree in business, Finance, or a related field with three years of experience in Finance and/or Treasury.


  • Additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Compensation Range:
$69,000 - 110,400
We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate's qualifications, education, and experience.
