As a User Experience Designer, you will design, tweak, and optimize the player experience. Your analytical skills, player insight, and creativity aid in crafting in- and out-of-game experiences that engage and surprise players. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and work with every tool at hand to innovate and iterate player-focused designs that'll delight millions around the world.
The Accessibility User Experience Designerwill function as a part of the central Product Accessibility team and work with product teams across the organization to drive and facilitate accessible and inclusive design. This role will collaborate with design and engineering teams to inform the creation of accessible games and experiences. The Accessibility UX Designer should have a deep knowledge of accessible game design, and will be responsible for cross-training other designers and defining requirements and best practices. This position will report to the Director of Product Accessibility.

Responsibilities:
- Creating guidelines and tools to help designers, developers, and architects comply with accessibility standards
- Create design requirements for both game and web products
- Work with UX designers to define strategy, roadmap, and priorities
- Perform accessibility reviews and provide feedback on designs and features
- Incorporate accessibility requirements into design documents and specifications
- Manage the photosensitive epilepsy flash rate testing process and training
- Propose improvements to existing processes and features in order to increase usability in our products
- Work with UX researchers to identify and gather data around features
- Use data insights and user feedback to make recommendations to product teams
- Create Accessibility personas and user stories
- Triage and prioritize accessibility issues and provide guidance for product teams on how these issues can be remediated
- Train and educate product teams on accessibility requirements
- Audit games and web applications for compliance with best practices and accessibility standards
- Keep up to date with current changes and trends in game, web, application, and software accessibility
- 5+ years of UX design experience
- 3+ years of Accessibility experience
- Expert knowledge of accessible and inclusive design principles and methodologies
- Have a strong understanding of core game design technologies (Unity, Unreal etc.)
- Have experience with user experience software development using HTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS and other related UI technologies
- Experience with UI prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD
- Experience using common screen readers: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver
- Experience using keyboard navigation and other assistive technology
- Experience testing with flash-rate testing tools (eg. Harding, PEAT)
- Knowledge and understanding of accessibility standards, principles and techniques, including (WCAG, WAI-ARIA, Section 508 C), with the ability to interpret and advise on these standards
- Possess empathy for our diverse user and player base, a deep understanding of user-centered design, and strong analytical abilities
- Ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve product goals
- Ability to translate end-user feedback into actionable items
- Ability to deliver training to product teams
- Experience using task and ticket management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of and fluency in the software development life cycle
- Experience designing interfaces on Mobile, PC, and Console, with strong understanding of interaction modalities across phone, controller, keyboard, and mouse
- Experience with accessible product, game and web design
