Position - Senior UX Designer

Location - Quebec, Ontario

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to join the Haven Entertainment Studios project team. The Sr UX Designer will work closely with the Game director to help shape the creation and development of the game design direction for the next generation of games. They will develop and design user experience rules, menu flows and accessibility guidelines that translate the vision into a playable experience. They will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment to ensure the delivery of high quality features with the consumer needs always at the forefront.

Direction

The Senior UX Designer will report to the Production Director.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Game director to shape the game design direction and break down direction into a clear set of features, deliverables and tasks.
• Develop the user experience vision for the game with a focus on user interfaces, menu flows, accessibility and social interactions
• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes through all stages of production to create great player experiences.
• Work in a cross-functional team and act as a regular liaison within that team as well as with management and other creative and technical co-leads to ensure the cohesiveness of the work.
• Communicate design through multiple means to effectively ensure that gameplay intentions and work to be done are understood by all team members.

Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive UX designer experience with at least one shipped title in that field.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles
• Understanding and experience in effectively incorporating user data and metrics into design.
• Excellent ability to organize and structure his/her own work and communicate effectively with a diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working as UX designer on at least one title.
• Experience designing and working on a live service game with an understanding of design best practices for games as a service.
• Good knowledge of all aspects and dependencies of UX, UI, accessibility and social systems
• Knowledge with Data Visualization tools

Le.la concepteur.rice Sr UX travaillera en troite collaboration avec le Directeur de jeu pour aider faonner la cration et le dveloppement de la direction pour la prochaine gnration de jeux. Direction

Le/la Concepteur.rice UX Senior se rapportera au directeur de production.

Rle et Responsabilits

• Travailler en troite collaboration avec le directeur du jeu pour faonner la direction du jeu et dcomposer la direction en un ensemble clair de fonctionnalits, de livrables et de tches.
• Dvelopper la vision de l'exprience utilisateur pour le jeu en mettant l'accent sur les interfaces utilisateur, l'organisation de menu, l'accessibilit et les interactions sociales
• Traduire les concepts en expriences d'utilisateurs, visualisations, maquettes et prototypes toutes les tapes de la production pour crer des expriences de joueur exceptionnelles.
• Travailler avec une quipe interdisciplinaire et agir en tant que point de contact rgulier au sein de cette quipe ainsi qu'avec la direction et d'autres co-responsables cratifs et techniques pour assurer la cohsion du travail.
• Communiquer la conception du jeu par de multiples moyens pour s'assurer efficacement que les intentions de jeu et le travail faire sont compris par tous les membres de l'quipe.

Exprience et comptences requises

• Vaste exprience en tant que concepteur UX avec au moins un titre livr dans ce domaine.
• Bonne comprhension des principes UX/UI
• Comprhension et exprience de l'intgration efficace des donnes utilisateurs et mtriques dans la conception.
• Excellente capacit organiser et structurer son propre travail et communiquer efficacement avec un public diversifi.

Qualifications prfres

• Exprience de travail en tant que concepteur UX sur au moins un titre.
• Exprience en tant que concepteur de jeu sur un jeu en ligne avec une comprhension des meilleures pratiques pour ces types de jeux
• Bonne connaissance des principes d''UX, d''interface utilisateur, d'accessibilit et de systmes de jeux axs sur le social
• Connaissance de divers outils de visualisation de donnes
