Job Title: Senior Vice President, Store Planning & Construction Americas
Reports to: President, Americas
Functional reporting to: Head of Project Development West and HQ Architecture team.
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the store planning and construction process within the Americas zone, optimizing team organization and sustainable ways of working.
Oversee the execution of all new store openings, renovations, expansions and relocations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality - to enhance client experience and our overall brand positioning.
Represent Dior with third parties and interact with general contractors, subcontractors, local architects and landlords.

The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $320,000 - $350,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate's relevant skills and experience. Strategic Planning and project management
- Take ownership of the entire process from inception, planning, and construction, through handover to opening, for new boutiques and renovations.
- Strategically line up local architects and contractors to ensure timely project completion and propose ideas to enhance efficiency and productivity in boutique openings.
- Collaborate with the Paris team to ensure alignment with the Concept Design release for worldwide coherence.
- Ensure adherence to cost control, procurement, and project development standards set by the HQ Architecture team, including specified design materials and fixtures.
- Manage a team of internal and external resources, including local architects, designers and general contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards, including LEED/LIFE standards, implementing sustainable practices within the store.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Negotiate with general contractors and vendors, explore creative sourcing options, and ensure an adequate bidding/RFP process.
- Analyze project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of store planning and construction professionals, nurturing effective project management skills.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
- Foster collaborative environment among the HQ Architecture team, local architects, local stakeholders, general contractors, subcontractors, and landlords.
- Collaborate with local cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment on store development initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including landlords, developers, and government agencies.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- 15+ years of experience in retail store planning, design, or in an architectural firm, interior design, construction company, or management position in store planning/architecture for a luxury brand. Architecture studies a plus.
- Detailed knowledge of local laws and local regulations around construction and store development.
- Detailed understanding of the luxury retail business.
- Knowledge of department store operations and relationships with internal architects and construction management teams.
- Familiarity with LEED standards, processes, and tools.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD.
- Visionary leadership and strategic thinking.
- Results-driven with excellent attention to details.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
