The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Senior Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) Lead who will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and management of VDI solutions to support USSTRATCOM. This role requires a deep understanding of VDI technologies, exceptional leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:

VDI Lead, Senior:
  • Guides the engineering team in designing and implementing VDI solutions as a service
  • Provides expert-level technical guidance on VDI architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices and design solutions to support DoD IL4-6 security needs
  • Creates analysis of alternatives for different sets of business needs followed by developing a design for the selected solution addressing those needs
  • Provides technical problem-solving for customer support of disaster recovery/COOP
  • Contributes to the POA&M deliverable as required for recommended modifications and upgrades to servers, software, and services, as well as Testing Procedures Documentation and Reports
  • Uses Government-provided monitoring tools to identify potential incidents or degradations of services, applications, or networks
  • Responds to incident management system requests for technical support
  • Identifies, analyzes, and corrects broad, repeated, or critical substandard performance once initial troubleshooting and/or repair is complete
  • Performs Change Management IAW documented USSTRATCOM policy and standards
  • Plans, engineers, installs, configures, maintains, operates, defends, troubleshoots, and repairs virtual desktop infrastructure and servers
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
  • May supervise others


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a VDI leadership role
  • Required 8140 Cert: 451 - Advanced; FITSP-O or GFACT or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training

AND
  • Additional Cert within 6 months of start date: One or more VMWare certifications including VCP, including VMWare Certified Design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on quantitative methodologies and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex data-driven insights to non-technical audiences

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$78,000 - $163,800
