Description:
The Department of Youth, Family, and Senior Services seeks an experienced professional to manage its Senior Services Program. This management-level position reports to the Director of Youth, Family, and Senior Services and leads a team of 7 staff. The Seniors Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the City's Seniors Program while providing support, resources, and advocacy to senior citizens.
Responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will be highly committed to providing services to the city's older adult population (ages 62 and above). The Seniors Program Manager should also have excellent communication skills, an empathetic demeanor, and clinical experience dealing with seniors. The Seniors Program Manager will demonstrate excellent troubleshooting, communication, and relationship-building skills with a team of professionals and support staff.
The required qualifications are:
Preference will be given to those who are licensed or license eligible as an LBSW, LMSW, or LCSW-C or a Certified Senior Advisor.

The hiring salary range is anticipated to be $ 90,000- $105,000, depending on experience. The city offers a generous benefits package, including Maryland State Retirement.

- recruit and hire qualified staff; maintain best practices through supervision and professional development.
- Assist with the management of the departmental budget.
- Ability to supervise and perform community-based case management services to older adults.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available resources for College Park's senior population.
- Serve as a liaison between the city and assigned resident boards or committees.
- prepare and conduct formal presentations; advocate and coordinate with community, county, and state organizations; and represent the city in multiple capacities.

- a bachelor's degree in social work or related degree, with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience as an administrator and supervisor and/or any combination of education and experience that qualifies a candidate for the position.
