The Sentinel Program is seeking an experienced Staff Systems Engineer to join a diverse program team of highly motivated professionals. This individual will take on the role of Major Program Event (MPE) Lead for the Sentinel Program in support of the Milestone B recertification campaign. This role will be in Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $142,500.00 - $202,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

The Sentinel Program is seeking an experienced Staff Systems Engineer to join a diverse program team of highly motivated professionals. This individual will take on the role of Major Program Event (MPE) Lead for the Sentinel Program in support of the Milestone B recertification campaign. This role will be in Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package.
The selected candidate will be assigned a specific Major Program Event and be responsible for:
- Monitoring schedule control points and support adjudication of pressures between IPTs.
- Monitoring and supporting IMP execution.
- Driving horizontal integration of schedule logic and IMS integrity for their MPE.
- Partnering with IPT Leads and CAMs to ensure schedule execution to plan.
- Monitoring GFx dependencies with the government and G/R dependencies across IPTs within their MPE.
- Continuously assessing executability of the plan, and identifying/characterizing risk across the prime and subcontractor scope.
- Monitoring risks and opportunities within their MPE.
- Supporting SRA activities to quantitatively characterize schedule execution risk.
- Championing opportunity identification and proactively look for opportunities to gain schedule margin.
- Monitoring accuracy of schedule forecasts.
- Participating in and supporting baseline change board activities relative to their respective MPE Supporting/brokering cross-IPT MPE integration.
- Supporting/attending major supplier activities for critical MPE drivers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 12 years of experience, or 10 years of experience with a Master's degree or 8 years with a PhD.
- 3+ years of experience working with Systems Engineering and Integration and Test, keeping projects on cost and schedule.
- 3+ year of experience with Agile, JIRA, Confluence, DOORS or Cameo.
- 3+ years of experience supporting trades studies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks
- Operate independently with limited supervision, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers
- Able to assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans and then execute those plans
- Demonstration of a strong understanding of project management and earned-value management principles and their application to complex projects
- Experience in a government contractor manufacturing or engineering development environment.
- Experience leading program teams through baseline planning activities
- Experience managing givers/receivers across subcontractors, IPTs, and customers
- Experience with IMS structure design and integration process across a complex program with multiple subcontractors and IPTs
- Experience applying integrated program planning and management methodologies within an Earned Value (EVMS) environment on a complex program with multiple IPTs and subcontractors
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 software
- Experience in Aerospace and/or Defense programs and familiarity with Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) or Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR)
