The Opportunity:

The Windows Server Analyst is part of a team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, building and administering over 2,000 servers in local and remote locations. The servers provide access to Email, File Services, Print services and about 1500 applications to over 20,000 clients.
The Windows Server Analyst will provide third-level support for users, build new servers, install applications and troubleshoot issues. The position's primary focus will be operational support of the Windows environment and will grow with experience at CNRL to include project work.

The Opportunity:

The Windows Server Analyst will provide third-level support for users, build new servers, install applications and troubleshoot issues. The position's primary focus will be operational support of the Windows environment and will grow with experience at CNRL to include project work.
- Job location: Calgary, Alberta
- Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts
- Safety sensitive position: No
- Application deadline: March 25, 2025
Key Accountabilities:
- Server configurations, installations, and lifecycle management
- Communication with clients, management and stakeholders
- Perform daily monitoring for issues on servers
- Utilize and maintain server monitoring technologies
- Understand, diagnose, and maintain multiple server images
- Maintain the tracking and recording of all server assets
- Other responsibilities as assigned
What You Bring to the Role:
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology or related
- 10+ years of Server support experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Server Tools, Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy
- PowerShell scripting is an asset
- The Windows Server Analyst will work in one or more of the following environments:
- Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Semperis, Ping Federation, Microsoft Certificate Services, Zabbix, Tenable, Hyper-V, Azure Administration, Dell Server Hardware
