Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with expertise in data interfaces, API integrations, and system analysis. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to define, design, and optimize data-driven solutions, ensuring seamless integration across various enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Document API and data interface specifications, including authentication methods, payload structures, and response handling.

API & Data Interface Design

• Define and validate RESTful and SOAP API specifications, ensuring alignment with business processes.
• Work with developers to ensure APIs meet security, performance, and scalability standards.
• Design and document data flow diagrams, data mapping, and transformation rules.

System Integration & Implementation

• Assist in the implementation of API-based integrations between internal and third-party systems.
• Validate data transformations and ETL processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Support middleware and API gateway configurations where necessary.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute test plans, including API testing using Postman or SoapUI, and perform data validation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues by working closely with developers and system architects.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including API catalogs, data dictionaries, and system diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a BSA, Systems Analyst, or a similar role with a focus on APIs and data interfaces.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of RESTful and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and OAuth/OpenID authentication.
• Experience with API management tools (e.g., Mulesoft, AWS API Gateway).
• Familiarity with data integration technologies (ETL, data pipelines, middleware solutions).
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with:
  
  • AWS architectural patterns and reference architectures.
  • Multi-tier application design in AWS environments.
  • Serverless and microservices architectures on AWS.
  • Recommending appropriate AWS service combinations.
• Experience with querying and working with relational databases, particularly MySQL, for data analysis and validation.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based integrations (primarily AWS; Azure and Google Cloud are a plus).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
