ServiceNow CMDB Administrator
Location: Hybrid / home-based work in the United States.
Position Summary
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the CMDB reflects the true state of Bentley's organization's IT infrastructure, enabling better decision-making, improved service delivery, and more efficient ITIL Practices.
A ServiceNow CMDB Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. The role requires a strong understanding of data integrations, data structure, and technical support of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration, configuration, maintenance, and CMDB knowledge. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical in this role due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with our internal teams, leaders, accounts, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration, configuration, maintenance, and CMDB knowledge. Responsibilities
- CMDB Management: Maintenance and update the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. And aligned with the organization's ITIL processes.
- Data Integration: Develop and manage data integration processes between ServiceNow and other IT systems, utilizing other relevant tools. Expertise in data quality support, bulk updates, relationship mapping, class owner relationships, service mapping and discovery, continuous improvement, end-to-end metrics and reports, location updates, CMDB CI creation, CI lifecycle, workflow design, onboarding new CI classes, integration support, and form/field modifications.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of CMDB management with Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for CMDB processes, data integration workflows, and technical support procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless integration and support of IT services with the ability to work independently as well.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for CMDB management and data integration.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in ServiceNow Platform and CMDB Lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Discovery Tools, including SCCM.
- Take ownership of issues and resolve them promptly, providing proactive updates.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the quality of CMDB data.
- Proactively take ownership of tasks and manage them through completion,
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or Computer Science or Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in ServiceNow Platform and CMDB Lifecycle management
- Familiarity with Discovery Tools, including Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- This role does not require travel.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL administration and SQL development.
- Strong understanding of data integration techniques and tools.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell) is a plus.
