Job Title: ServiceNow SACM Configuration Management Analyst

Any Location: Pleasanton, CA / Plano, TX / Phoenix, AZ / Boise, ID

Duration: Long term Contract

Job Description:
  • Must be able to work US hours (both PST and MST).
  • Must be located within 50 miles of one of the following corporate offices:
    • Pleasanton, CA
    • Plano, TX
    • Phoenix, AZ
    • Boise, ID

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology- or business-related field OR 3+ years of experience in Configuration Management managing a large CMDB environment.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a process-driven organization, preferably in an ITIL-aligned Service Management environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with inventory discovery tools and infrastructure management tools used to provide Configuration data (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, OEM applications).
  • 3+ years of experience working with CSDM (Common Service Data Model).
  • 3+ years of experience driving SACM (Service Asset & Configuration Management) process adherence in a complex IT organization using data.
  • 3+ years of experience using KPIs and other methodologies to identify problems, track trends, and drive improvements.
  • Proven experience in establishing and managing large data repositories and multi-source environments.

Technical & Functional Skills:
  • Strong understanding of ITIL IT Service Management processes (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change Management, Project & Portfolio Management, Service Catalog).
  • General understanding of the ServiceNow Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and its rule structure.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud environments, Operations Centers, and Service Desks.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with quality documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage time-sensitive situations, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL V4 certification.
  • Experience or exposure to the following ServiceNow features:
    • Vulnerability Response
    • ServiceNow Multi-Source/CMDB 360
    • CMDB Data Manager
  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of the Common Service Data Model.
  • Understanding of application architecture and service delivery modeling.
