Job Overview: The short-form editor will be responsible for turning raw footage into highly engaging, viral-worthy short-form content. This role requires a deep understanding of pacing, audience retention, and platform-specific editing techniques. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled editor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can think creatively, and understands what makes content perform on platforms like YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit high-energy, engaging short-form videos optimized for platforms like YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels
• Implement creative editing techniques, including dynamic transitions, sound design, and on-screen text to enhance storytelling
• Stay up to date on social media trends and apply them to content editing
• Work closely with the creative team to ensure brand consistency and alignment with Airrack's unique style
• Deliver quick turnarounds while maintaining high-quality production value
• Continuously experiment with new editing techniques to improve performance and engagement

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience editing viral short-form content with a strong portfolio
• Deep understanding of pacing, audience retention strategies, and platform algorithms
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent editing software
• Strong storytelling skills and the ability to make content feel dynamic and engaging
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
• Highly organized with great attention to detail

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with YouTube creators or social media influencers
• Motion graphics or animation skills
• Knowledge of sound design and how to use audio to enhance storytelling
• Experience in color grading and advanced editing techniques

Benefits

Salary: $85-95k DOE with performance bonuses available. Full health benefits offered as well.
