Compensation Range: $34.27/hr - $44.75/hr

Job Description:

The Show Director is responsible for executing live news productions, ensuring seamless execution from pre-show preparation to live broadcast.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Manage news production and direct live multi-camera broadcasts.
• Log into NRCS to review and align with producers on show rundown.
• Code shows, providing execution commands in automation systems.
• Rehearse segments before going on air.
• Call the show live, directing camera movements and timing.

Requirements:

• Must-Haves:
  
  • 3-5 years of experience directing news or large-scale shows (local station, cable network, or major productions).
  • Bilingual in Spanish (fluent or near-fluent).
  • Experience with automation systems (ELC preferred; Sony, Grass Valley, or Ross acceptable).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with NRCS (Newsroom Control System).
  • Live multi-camera TV production experience.
• Nice-to-Haves:
  
  • Experience working with breaking news or fast-paced live events.
  • Background in directing high-profile broadcasts.
