Simulation Software Developer This is a hybrid position located in Houston, Texas requiring onsite support 2 days per week. Remote work may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates located in TX, NM, CO, FL, AL, MA, VA. Aegis Aerospace is currently looking for a Simulation Software Developer to join our team in Houston, TX. Overview: The Simulation Software Developer will contribute to the development of simulation software used for validating and testing flight systems within the Orion Program. This position requires proficiency in Python and C++, as well as experience in simulation environments and tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing simulation software, running tests, and analyzing results to ensure the software accurately represents spacecraft systems and their performance. Experience with simulation development and simulation software tools is highly desired. Candidates should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and Lockheed Martin technical stakeholders. Did you know? Responsibilities * Develop and maintain simulation software for testing and validating spacecraft systems. * Design and implement software models to replicate spacecraft systems and behaviors. * Run simulations and analyze results to ensure system performance meets program requirements. * Collaborate with Lockheed Martin technical teams to integrate simulation software into testing environments. * Assist in debugging, optimizing, and maintaining simulation software for performance and accuracy. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation processes and methodologies within the team. * Support project design reviews (PDR, CDR) * Participate in regular team meetings to provide status and coordinate with teammates Qualifications REQUIRED: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education * Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience * Proficiency in Python and C++ for simulation software development. * Experience with simulation tools and environments. * Strong understanding of simulation-based testing and software verification. * Ability to develop and implement software models that accurately simulate system behaviors. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Must have US Citizenship. * Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative. * Ability to attain and maintain respect and confidence of the customer and contract personnel. A close, cooperative customer interface is essential. * Mature, professional judgment in establishing objectives, milestones and priorities. * Reliable and dependable work habits and dedication to get the job done. DESIRED: * Master's degree in related discipline * Experience with simulation software development for aerospace systems or flight software. * Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink for system modeling and simulation. * Background in Computer Science (CS) or a related field. * Experience with software testing methodologies for simulation systems. * Knowledge of system integration and test environments. * Experience working on government contracts. * Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
