Job Description

AIM Recycling in Rouyn-Noranda is looking for its new Site Director. The main responsibilities will be to manage, organize, and plan the daily activities of the teams to ensure the efficiency and quality of operations.

Your responsibilities will also include:
  • Purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous materials;
  • Optimal management of site activities;
  • Truck allocation;
  • Managing, guiding, and motivating the work team, and conducting performance evaluations;
  • Ensuring the smooth running of daily operations with the responsible parties, and monitoring the execution of all their activities;
  • Closely monitoring staff and preparing reports on their results;
  • Setting priorities, analyzing performance gaps, identifying business opportunities, and focusing on cost reduction using available tools;
  • Writing all required reports for management;
  • Working toward achieving financial budget targets;
  • Controlling inventories and quality;
  • Promoting and managing a customer-oriented team;
  • Continuously seeking new, innovative, and value-added services to improve or simplify processes;
  • Managing local marketing and addressing the specific needs of the site's clientele;
  • Defining, developing, and implementing improvements to processes, procedures, and operational policies;
  • Enforcing health and safety regulations at work. Taking necessary actions to ensure the physical safety of the premises.

Work Environment
  • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions;
  • Exposure to hazardous materials.


Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the metal industry;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook);
