Job Description
As part of the broader OCI organization, you'll be a key part of our Sovereign Realms Operations team, working with partner service teams and our Sovereign Operations teams to develop new services and features into our secured control centers. This role is critical to the success of our system engineering that supports our partner operations teams as they administer the secure cloud realms.
Job Responsibilities
Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall characteristics of production systems and services. Responsible for the design and delivery of mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Partner with other development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Articulate technical details of services and guide teams that engineer to add capabilities to the operations centers. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues and create and maintain documented runbooks. Leverage a deep understanding of service topology and dependencies to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the effect of product architecture decisions and distributed systems.
Shepherd the deployment of code into high security environments. Ensure timely resolution and documentation of incidents through company-standard protocols and reporting methods. Inform internal teams as required through process and procedure. Help identify and discuss process improvements and tools optimizations. Act as point of escalation for incidents and other issues arising within the secured environments. Work with in-region teams to troubleshoot operational issues.

Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer related field, or 3-5 years equivalent work experience. Strong Linux administration skills. Strong TCP/IP networking skills. Strong programming/scripting experience. Experience with managing secure services across distributed systems and geographies. Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains and then train others. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud networking and software driven networks. Strong experience coding or scripting using a major programming language. Experience deploying code within change management procedures. Experience in cloud technical support, operations, NOC, or similar. Experience working with government customers.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
