LogicMonitor is looking for a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to maintain operational uptime of all mission critical systems. Make your mark by facilitating and automating operational tasks while also looking for ways to streamline and improve them. You will be instrumental in working with developers in order to provide feedback to make the the product function better within the LM infrastructure. This role presents an amazing opportunity to develop SRE skills to become an invaluable member of the core LM Operations team.

Compensation packages at LogicMonitor for eligible roles include base salary, a variable plan depending on role, along with comprehensive benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary target for new hires in the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. LogicMonitor employees in eligible roles are also granted equity based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. - Maintain uptime of LogicMonitor's SaaS based service and drive technical/process enhancements to improve uptime
- Design and deploy new infrastructures and integrations
- Ensure security of the production environment
- Write code to automate various aspects of infrastructure maintenance and and deployments
- Support development and work closely with developers to drive operational and architecture/design changes
- Own, manage, and execute large and technically complex projects across teams
- Act as a strategic resource for the company with the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations for other departments, customers, and conferences
- Mentoring of more junior team members
- Lead by example in providing good documentation and thorough runbooks
What You'll Need:
- Linux Engineering Experience: 3+ years in a Linux engineering role, preferably within a SaaS-based company.
- Observability Tools Expertise: In-depth experience with monitoring, log analysis, telemetry, alert management, and metric evaluation.
- System Administration and Configuration Management: Solid understanding of Linux system administration in distributed environments and experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Virtualization and Container Technologies: Proficient in virtualization and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Programming and Scripting Skills: Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Go.
- Security and Networking Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Linux-related security, applications, and networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls, iptables, etc.)
