Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Manager, Commercial Operations and/or Project Manager, the Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day operations at their project site(s). The Site Superintendent is responsible for the allocation of resources, equipment and subcontractors within their projects. They monitor and inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with contract specifications and company standards. The main objective of the Site Superintendent will be to deliver work safely, within time, within budget and to the expected level of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement construction schedules with Project Manager and confirm manpower, equipment and subcontractor availability.

Position Summary:

- Supervise and direct construction projects in strict accordance with contract documents, blueprints and Northerm procedures.
- Perform site reviews and measure-ups.
- Ensure safety compliance by all workers, including subcontractors.
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients.
- Ensure all reports and documentation are completed, including daily journals, Health and Safety documentation, equipment records and photo log of work in progress and completed.
- Day-to-day coordination of construction crews, owned equipment, rented equipment, material supply and subcontractors.
Plan and implement construction schedules with Project Manager and confirm manpower, equipment and subcontractor availability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of construction site supervision, preferably in the areas of glass, aluminum, doors, curtain wall or similar.
- Completion of a post-secondary education program in Construction Management an asset.
- Proficient in both written and verbal English, with the ability to undertake moderately complex technical correspondence and conversations, as well as to provide clear direction to project team members.
- Proven leader of people able to engage and motivate a team to consistently deliver their best work.
- Ability to review and interpret contracts and blueprints, ensuring any additional work outside of project scope is identified.
- Adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
