Smartsheet Lead Developer

POSITION SUMMARY: The Smartsheet Lead Developer will be responsible for managing, designing, maintaining, and developing the Smartsheet solution for Miller Zell. He will be responsible for supporting business processes and improving workflows. They are responsible for automating tasks, integrating Smartsheet with other tools, and ensuring data integrity and security. Additionally, they may mentor junior developers, provide training and support to users, and stay up-to-date with Smartsheet's latest features and updates.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Smartsheet Lead Developer will be expected to lead by example in best practices for secure and maintainable development, documentation, and testing as well as provide expertise in API development and Smartsheet. The Smartsheet Lead Developer is expected to take a lead role within the team, ensuring that programming best practices are being followed, prioritizing work effectively, addressing production issues in a timely manner, and writing system documentation when required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Lead and manage Smartsheet development projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business requirements.
• Develop, customize, and maintain Smartsheet solutions to enhance operational efficiency and collaboration.
• Design and implement Smartsheet integrations with other tools and platforms.
• Oversee the migration of legacy systems to Smartsheet.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and document business requirements for Smartsheet solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Smartsheet applications.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members.
• Provide training and support to users of Smartsheet solutions.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Smartsheet features and functionality.
• Work with other IT team members to integrate Smartsheet solutions with other systems.
• Develop Smartsheet reporting and workbook for project controllers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Smartsheet Industry certifications

Experience: 3+ years of experience in Smartsheet development.

Special Skills/Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Smartsheet development, maintenance, and integrations.
• Strong expertise in Smartsheet migrations and optimizing workflows.
• 3+ years of experience with Smartsheet
• 2+ years of experience with Smartsheet functional areas like control center, workspaces, power apps, sheets, reports, dashboards, etc.
• 1+ years of experience as a Smartsheet Platform Administrator, Specialist and/or developer.
• Ability to design blueprints through Control Center in an optimal and effective way that minimizes manual touchpoints in the system.
• Develop web reporting solutions to help the business make better decisions, extraction of key data from business applications, and creation and management of operational dashboards to continue reviewing the applicable data sets.
• Experience in Dynamic View development and Pivot Table creation through Smartsheets
• Experience leveraging and developing Data Shuttle.
• Experience understanding of metric creation through Smartsheet through the utilization of Dashboards and advanced formula creation.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage cross-functional teams.
• Solid full-stack development background, ideally with experience in the .NET ecosystem (nice to have).
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, Web API, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS (nice to have).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
