Description:

Responsibilities of the Snowflake Platform Specialist Include:

1. In this role, you will work closely with our Product, Engineering, IT, and Data Science teams to build best in class infrastructure supporting data across the company

2. Design, Deploy & Monitor Snowflake in Multi-tenant Lakehouse environment.

3. Design, Deploy the RBAC security Model in Multi-tenant Lakehouse environment.

4. Design, build, and own the core data models and key infrastructure to manage data and usage across our Snowflake account with an emphasis on Multi Tenancy and Security.

5. Responsible to integrate Snowflake Database with SAML or OpenID Provider for Authentication

6. Create Snowflake utilization and Capacity Plan for general housekeeping as well as for peak period.

7. Implement Snowflake best practices & considerations for managing load operations and performance which will aid in creating right size Snowflake warehouses.

8. Implement Data Masking policies to protect PII/PCI Data.

9. Create and manage multiple accounts across the Organization.

10. Good knowledge of Time Travel & Cloning

11. Automate tenant onboarding to Multi-Tenant Snowflake Platform.

12. Automate RBAC Security model with Sailpoint Integration.

13. Automate Internal/External Data catalog.

14. Good Understanding of data replication for data sharing across accounts and for failover scenarios

15. Good Understanding of Snowflake ODBC, JDBC drivers as well as SnowSQL in terms of usage as well as troubleshooting any issues

16. Good Understanding of Snowflake Snowpark

17. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, IT, Finance, and Compliance to inform product decision making with data and to identify opportunities for system improvements.

18. Collaborate with the Engineering, IT, and Compliance team to meet data governance requirements.

19. Build dashboards to help IT Leadership monitor performance and availability of our system.

20. Think creatively to find optimal solutions to our complex, often unstructured problems.

21. Design and implement a data quality monitoring system. The system should include source-to-target data validations as well as anomaly detection.

Candidate will have:

1. 10+ years' experience including:

2. 2+ years' experience as Snowflake DBA.

3. Designing and building complex data pipelines in a large-scale data environment.

4. Experience with Salesforce, Workday, and application integrations

5. Experience using Snowflake is must

6. Snow Pro Core Certification preferred

7. Expert level Python/SQL, JavaScript and experience building Stored Procedures

8. Experience in CI/CD implementation of Snowflake data Platform.

9. Ability to clearly present learnings to business leaders and technical stakeholders
