Cybersecurity Analyst - Falls Church, VA
Work Location: Fully on-site in Falls Church, VA
Schedule: EOW-N: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, alternating Saturdays | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Cybersecurity Analyst - Falls Church, VA
Work Location: Fully on-site in Falls Church, VA
Schedule: EOW-N: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, alternating Saturdays | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Basic Required Qualifications (Must-Haves):
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or experience.
- 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or computer science.
- Certifications (Required at Start):
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- One of the following CSSP Incident Responder certifications: CySA+, CEH, or GCIH
- Must comply with 8140 certification standards when implemented.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required on Day 1.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Dependable and punctual; follows direction and seeks feedback.
- Strong customer service experience, especially working with senior military and government leadership.
- Effective communicator-comfortable leading briefings and training sessions.
- Organized and collaborative team player.
- Capable of managing shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with DoD 2875 processes and ACTCS training system.
- Perform forensic analysis and evidence handling of digital data.
- Analyze cybersecurity data (IDS, firewalls, logs) to mitigate threats.
- Monitor, interpret, and report on anomalies and security events.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, systems, and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate security risks and recommend process improvements.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigate security incidents.
- Correlate data logs with known threats; build and refine event correlation rules.
- Support SOC with threat identification and pattern recognition.
- Provide mentorship and possibly lead junior staff.
- Coordinate cybersecurity inspections, reviews, and compliance with stakeholders.
- Assist in managing eMASS structure and workflows.
- Engage with CYBERCOM, ARCYBER, NSA, FBI, DOJ, DHS, and others for security reviews.
- Support DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) enforcement and training compliance.
- Aid in processing system access requests to eMASS and RMF support.
- Assist in security architecture reviews through scans, config analysis, and documentation.
- Help distribute and implement approved cybersecurity policies and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
