Description
Job Duties:
Service Delivery Expectations:

1. Provides $110,000 collected service delivery annually. ($82,500 without day treatment.)
2. Maintains client confidentiality at all times.
3. Provide assessments, individual, group, and family therapy in compliance with DMH standards while focusing on the strengths, needs, abilities, and preference of the youth and family.
4. Provide clinical support to individual youth and family to help them cope with stressors related to serious emotional disturbance.
5. Actively collaborate with other systems' staff regarding assigned individuals and their families.
6. Monitor youth/family participation and progress in organized treatment programs to assure the planned provision of service according to the youth's individual treatment plan.
7. Conduct home visits for regular monitoring.
8. Provide ongoing education of youth and family regarding clinical treatment.
9. Address concerns that interfere with family functioning and dynamics.
10. Collaborate with families and systems to assist in developing the individualized treatment plan.
11. Maintain contact with youth who are hospitalized/respite/residential and participate in discharge planning and necessary collateral contacts.
12. Provide parenting education when necessary.
13. Seek culturally competent services and service providers to meet the unique cultural needs of youth and family.
Documentation and Quality Improvement:

14. Documents appropriate activities in case note format that justify the need for treatment.
15. Completes and submits service logs per agency policy.
16. Maintains case record documentation that is adequate, appropriate, complete, and timely.
17. Complete all mandatory documentation to monitor youth and family progress towards achievement of individualized treatment plan goals.
Interpersonal and Leadership Skills

18. Attends and participates as member of a multi-disciplinary team in all treatment plan review of youth.
19. Responds to clients needs in an appropriate and timely manner.
20. Demonstrates appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment.

Support Duties:
21. Completes additional job duties assigned by supervisor.
22. Seeks professional certification and/or licensure and clinical training opportunities.
23. Serves as lead or back-up emergency on-call person when requested to do so.
(annually at a minimum)

Key Responsibilities
Requires license/certification (i.e., LPC, LMSW/LCSW, or DMH Certification) within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment.
Requires excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Requires satisfactory completion of CPR prior to reporting to the work site.
Requires satisfactory completion of CPI within 30 days of employment.
Requires valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance.
Requires ability to transport clients in private vehicle when necessary.
Requires completion of annual training in compliance with DMH standards
Previous experience working within a System of Care model strongly preferred.
Previous experience as a therapist in a mental health setting strongly preferred.
Previous experience working with an SMI/SED or DD population in a treatment setting strongly preferred
Working knowledge of the DSM.

Minimum Education
Masters

Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in behavioral science or related field.

Licensure/Certification
Eligible for clinical certification through the Mississippi Department of Mental Health.
